He has received special training of Diabetes & Foot Medicine at Dr. Scholl College Of Podiatric Medicine, Centre of Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR) at Chicago Medical School &Lutheran Hospital at Rosalind Franklin University, Chicago, USA. Recently Dr Ashok Damir has been appointed by World Diabetic Foundation (WDF) & Diabetic Foot Society of India (DFSI) to teach Diabetes, Diabetic Foot & Wound Care under National Wound Care Project to Post Graduate Doctors of different Medical Colleges of India.
