Dr V K Jain's professional experience, spanning many years has seen him in various prominent roles in hospitals around the globe. This has not only added to his expertise but has provided him with vital exposure in the field. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery. He has worked in prominent hospitals in India like NIMHANS Bangalore and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi.
He has also worked as a visiting professor at various prominent hospitals abroad. This has helped him hone his skills in medicine and Neurosurgery. He has also guided several students on their theses and dissertations.

Dr Jain has many publications to his credit. This includes books, journals, magazines and abstracts. His book- "Craniovertebral Junction Anomalies - The Indian Experience", was published in 1997 and still serves as a useful guide to the medical world. His views on Neurology and Neurosurgery have appeared in many national and international prominent journals like Surgical Neurology, Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurology India, Indian Journal of Neurotrauma. His views have also appeared as chapters in books.
